There are many things to love about this comfortable spacious family restaurant with roaring stone fireplace and a large Cheers-like separate bar area. Yes there is a TV at every booth! If there's a big game on dinner out will no longer have to be stopped or time-shifted and it's also pretty nifty for keeping those unruly kids occupied. The NY Times even wrote a feature length article about this innovation and it is proudly displayed at the entrance.

Comfort food with many lighter offerings in a comfortable setting with a local feel and friendly attentive service. Prices are very reasonable and if you want your pizza wood-fired from a brick over this is the place to go. They've invented a few themselves like the Hot Wing Chicken with bleu cheese sauce or one my heart yearns for Bacon w/Spinach and roasted peppers or one that I'll pass on but somebody must like: the dreaded "Hawaiian" pineapple w/ham and coconut? They're nuts about their pizza alright. Also, you can order any other combination you can think of and none over $13 for a large pie. Well there's one and that's $13.50 for the Seafood Special w/shrimp, scallops and fresh basil. Recession pricing is king here so your wallet may not be dented but your stomach might protrude.

We had the spinach salad with bacon, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, croutons, onions, sliced pears and a hot bacon dressing that is a well kept secret family recipe. The very same family that opened Mario's Restaurant in New Lebanon 40 years ago so give that venerable institution a spin when you're out that way. The traditions here go way back. We tried the baked penne with pepperoni, ground beef, sausage along w/marinara sauce, ricotta and mozzarella. A hearty meal that satisfies without going overboard. Also, the sandwiches are very interesting. We had the grilled vegetable: zucchini (got to have something with zucchini when you're there), roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, portabella mushrooms and mozzarella served with their trademark Zucchini house chips on your bread of choice.

There are so many interesting dishes to choose from and that's just lunch! The Dinner choices are many and include a NY strip steak au poive or the grilled atlantic salmon as well as veal, chicken specialties of the house. This landmark looking restaurant has already become a Pittsfield institution. It's right there on Route 7 you can't miss it on your left on the way up to North County.
