The décor is very tasteful and warm, conducive to an evening of enjoyment that sometimes includes live music.
Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped us decide on a magnificent bottle of Cabernet Franc. We enjoyed every dish thoroughly from the grilled portabello salad which included frisée and a honey sherry vinaigrette through the grand finale of a caramelized banana tart (make sure to listen for the crunch).
As far as the entrées, Anne had the perfectly roasted free range chicken, fully cooked yet moist, with spinach au gratin and lightly buttered baby asparagus while Steve endulged in the crispy and juicy steak au poivre with hand cut fries and watercress.
Rouge has a very good reputation through word of mouth and as we found out, it is very well deserved.
