Petrino's Café An Anne & Steve review ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Welcome to Petrino's Café the breakfast/lunch option on Main Street in the old Cup and Saucer location. What's the story? Well let me tell you. Jim Petrino was asked to relocate but he could not stand to uproot his family and leave the bucolic Berkshires so what to do? When he saw the prime spot was available he opened up a family business serving up unique twists on beloved staples in a large and simultaneously cozy space where lounging is encouraged as evidenced by the couch area and art gallery towards the back. You know when you're greeted by the owner behind the counter with a warm handshake and bright smile that you're in good hands.
The Peruvian coffee was very good too although the juice by the bottle could be upgraded to fresh squeezed or at least offer some organic brands and we would be happier. The lunch sandwiches have cool names too; the "Cousin Ralphie" turkey with cranberry sauce (eh! it's just business!) is funny, the "Cousin Vinnie" with pulled pork (I can hear my clock ticking!) and with broccoli rabe added for .50 more (my favorite veg) I'll be getting one of those next time too. We were very well taken care of and pleased with the breakfast on a great before MOMA and the North Adams Mill Galleries day. Fresh and local is their credo. There is Jazzy brunch on Sundays with a nice stage in the back. This could become a performance space with the walls already devoted with local artist art shows. A real hangout with real food is a great addition to the area. Wide screen TVs up high easy to watch for the sports-minded while the arty crowd can easily ignore. So chill out and relax you're at Jim's Place.
