Xicohtencatl Mexican Restaurant offers what they call authentic Mexican cuisine and it is a refined version of what you may be used to.
The margaritas are made with fresh fruit juices, liqueurs, and a wide variety of high grade tequilas. We enjoyed our drinks thoroughly. Anne had the Dorado, made with anejo tequila, fresh orange and lime juice and Steve had the Xicoh Especial which consisted of reposado tequila, lime and grenadine.
We had the delicious bowl of freshly made guacamole especial while we waited for our dinners. Steve had the chiles rellenos which was superb and not breaded. Anne had the carnitas, a delicious pork dish with rice and guacamole.
We found the food very tasty and delicate and the service friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very lively and colorful. We loved our time there.
