"I'd like ... a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast no mayonnaise, ... no lettuce... all you have to do is hold the chicken, bring me the toast, give me a check for the chicken salad sandwich, and you haven't broken any rules" (Jack Nicholson-Five Easy Pieces).

Welcome to Jack's Grill where the rules are made to be broken and wheat toast is always on the menu! Unfortunately my Monte Cristo in the video isnít! So the next time I go I'll order it anyway "I'd like a side of wheat toast with turkey, ham, melted swiss cheese on swirly cinnamon french toast hold the wheat toast." Cause that was one delicious sandwich with a carafe of pure maple syrup to top it off.

Maybe I'll just have to order something else when we go back like the famous pot roast? A Housatonic? I might have a Jackas?

But this place is best described as country weird like a pee wee's playhouse hold the pee wee and add the Jack. But they treat you right and there's a lot to choose from. The frittata was thin and crispy with the goat cheese lightly melted and the spinach still fresh. The garden salad was a local greens spectacular. The fries are Mickey D like so the kids will be happy. All and all a great place to set your feet up and sit a spell. This is the old home-style you come to the Berkshires for everything piled high and a fruit cup on the side. The lone bikers love to come and park their beloveds right out front where you can see it while you eat and simultaneously look at the beautiful view of the mountains and little undisturbed arty town of Housatonic. - Steve
