As we walked into this open and sunny place, we were greeted by the friendly chalkboards that informed us that the restaurant uses products from the local farms. The chalkboards also instructed us to read the menu and order at the counter. We sat down to look over the menu, then went to the counter to order.
Since Haven is a bakery, they have ample baked delicacies to choose from. We selected a chocolate croissant and moved on to a more serious breakfast order.
Steve had the grilled polenta triangles with ginger infused maple syrup that we both enjoyed thoroughly. It was as delicious as it sounds.
Anne had a cheddar and spinach omelet with cubed potatoes and local greens. The salad and spinach were very fresh and tasty. We also had a sausage patty and crisp thick cut bacon. Steve raved about the quality of these meats.
We loved the orange juice which is fresh squeezed. The daily brew coffee was also very good and tasted dark and rich. It is also "bottomless".
The relaxing atmosphere is as pleasant on the eyes as the food is on the palate.
