Bizen Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar An Anne & Steve review ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
So many people have told us about this place: the very price conscious, the spiritual (a just hugged devotee of "Amma" who raved about it to me on 34th St. NYC) all the way to the family types who bring their kids to bask in the glow. So what's all the commotion about? What's up with the commotion?
We had the oshi tashi steamed vegetable dish with black sesame sauce, a summer roll with crab, makis with eel and avocado and grilled shitake mushroom appetizer....and for Steve lots of hot sake.
We had a great time chatting with our neighbors. We took a photo of a tuna steak one of them was having. He enjoyed it so much that he didn't leave one morsel on his plate. The place is really authentic with a row of those little private rooms you take your shoes off in and eat intimately with a friend or two to the not-too-dim mood lighting. It's relaxed and congenial
